“There’s no such thing as a perfect image – only a perfect moment,” says Joe Buissink, one of the greatest wedding photographers in the world. And I believe him. Weddings are made up of hundreds, maybe even thousands, of small moments that will be remembered in many years to come. And my job is to freeze those moments, put them on your wedding album so you can show them to your future grand kids and tell them, “I clearly remember this exact moment.”

This article from Spot.ph succinctly encapsulates my brand of photography: dramatic, cinematic, emotion-filled, and timeless beauty. Those are exactly the right words to describe my photos. When I’m inside a room, I look around for emotions and reactions that I can capture. I anticipate the moments when the mom or the bride is about to cry.
Where did I get this knack for capturing photos that tell a story, you might ask? A few years back, I worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), traveling around the conflict-affected communities of Mindanao, capturing photos of people, their culture, their stories. My experience in this type of job gave me a solid insight of how to capture and present a story – and in this case, your wedding is my assignment. And I’ll present it in the most cinematic and visually appealing way that I can.
While photography is about capturing what is in front of the viewer, my unique way of capturing it and clicking the shutter at the exact moment are what separates me from the rest of the pack. My love for movies has enhanced my eye to view scenes as if I were a cinematographer. My love for baroque art (signified by drama, exuberance, and grandeur) has influenced me to shoot portraits with a classic but timeless touch. In capturing portraits, I am inspired by Rembrandt’s paintings, thereby utilizing soft, angled light to make sure my subjects look their best. All of these influences make up my style of giving energy, artistic dimension, texture, drama, passion and emotion to my photographs.
Read all the kind words that my clients have given me. I am blessed and humbled by these positive feedback that give me the courage and inspiration to always give my best.
